Anime Character Ema!

3 January 2010

Over the years, more and more Ema with anime characters are appearing^^

Here’s a short explanation from Wiki

Ema (絵馬) are small wooden plaques on which Shinto worshippers write their prayers or wishes. The ema are then left hanging up at the shrine, where the kami (spirits or gods) receive them. They bear various pictures, often of animals or other Shinto imagery, and many have the word gan’i (願意), meaning “wish”, written along the side.

Well in this case instead of pictures of animals on the Ema, we have anime characters o(^.^)o Some of them are really good that they look like anime merchandise in stores. xD

Otaku in Japan sure are really good artist. No wonder there are so many doujinshi for sale hahas Maybe it’s time I get one…hmmm…..

Back to topic, here are some really nice samples of this year’s Ema…
